I've lived inside architecture firms. I've built businesses like yours.

I spent roughly the first decade of my career inside architecture and construction organizations. I started in design-build at Vanman Architects & Builders, worked in architecture at DJR Architects, and served as BIM Manager at Anning-Johnson.

I then spent about three and a half years at Ryan Companies, an integrated architecture, construction, development and real estate organization. There I worked alongside architects, contractors, project managers, superintendents and developers, and saw projects from early concepts and design through construction and occupancy.

That gave me an unusually broad view of how the built environment really works: the coordination, the information bottlenecks, and the hours that disappear between teams.

Then I moved into entrepreneurship. Over the next decade I helped build and operate multiple seven-figure businesses, with a heavy SaaS focus.

I co-founded Koloni, now Accessa, a technology company building mobile apps, tablet apps and SaaS management platforms. We raised more than $2 million, went through Jason Calacanis's LAUNCH accelerator, and grew to a team of about 30, many of them software engineers.

I didn't advise companies on how to operate. I was responsible for operating them — hiring, communication, disconnected software, customer support, profitability, and growing without constantly adding overhead. Those are the same problems a 20- to 100-person architecture firm faces.

Over the past several years, I put AI to work deep inside my own businesses. Our teams have built and used more than 15 AI agents across brands and functions — marketing and social media, managing email inboxes and doing direct outreach, customer support, RFP sourcing and response, internal reporting and dashboards, CRM and project systems, and helping teams find information.

Along the way we replaced about 80% of our previous software subscriptions with more connected systems, and can confidently say we 10X'd output in areas like marketing and product development within our own businesses.

None of this is theory. I helped design, implement and run these systems myself. And when a project calls for deeper integration, security, compliance or custom development, I have experienced software engineers behind me — scoped separately from our fixed-price assessments.

After freeing up much of my time and seeing how much AI changed the way my businesses ran, I wanted to help other companies get the same benefit. So I asked myself which industry I understood well enough to make a real difference.

The answer was obvious: architecture.

Arqtix combines my first decade inside architecture and construction with my next decade building software companies and running growing businesses. I understand the industry. I understand the business challenges. And I understand the technology. That's why I started Arqtix.
